1. What is chiropractic care?
At Wave Wellness, chiropractic care is all about helping your body move, align, and function the way it was designed to.
Your spine and nervous system play a major role in how your body handles stress, movement, and healing. When the spine is not moving or functioning well, it can affect how your body feels and performs day to day.
Our goal is to support your goals by helping restore proper alignment and communication within the body.
2. What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit is all about getting to know you, your health story, what’s been going on, and where you want to go from here.
We take time to understand the full picture so we can make recommendations.
Your first visit will include:
• A Consultation
• Posture Analysis
• FLIR Neurothermal Scan
• X-rays, if clinically necessary
• Care on the same day, when appropriate, so you can start feeling be1er right away
Our goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and confident about the next steps in your care. Once your first visit is complete, we’ll schedule a follow-up visit to go over your scans and findings in more detail, answer any questions you may have, and walk through your recommended care plan.
3. What can chiropractic care help with?
Those who often seek chiropractic care at Wave Wellness come in with:
• Neck pain
• Mid back pain
• Low back pain
• Headaches• Disc issues
• Posture-related tension
• Sciatic symptoms
• Restricted mobility
• Physical stress and tension
• Shoulder issues / Frozen shoulder
• Knee pain
• Hip pain
• TMJ disorders
• Sleep disturbances
Chiropractic care can also support areas of health that people don’t usually come in for, including:
• Improved sleep quality
• Better digestion
• Enhanced balance and coordination
• Increased energy
• Less anxiety / Stress
4. How often will I need to come in?
That depends on three factors: your health history, your current condition, and your goals. Care plans can vary—from more frequent visits, like twice a week for acute issues, to monthly appointments for ongoing maintenance.
5. Is chiropractic care only for pain?
Nope. 😊
While many people first come in because of pain or discomfort, chiropractic care is also about helping the body function better overall. Because your spine and nervous system influence so much of how your body moves, adapts, and heals, care can be an important part of supporting long-term health.
6. What about Cox-Flexion Distraction?
Cox Flexion-Distraction is a gentle, non-surgical chiropractic technique used to help relieve pressure in the spine. At Wave Wellness, we use a specialized decompression table to perform this type of manual decompression therapy, which can be especially helpful for disc issues, nerve irritation, and acute spinal pain. The goal is to reduce pressure, improve mobility, and help your body heal more comfortably.
7. What about prenatal chiropractic care?
Wave Wellness also provides specialized prenatal chiropractic care. Chiropractic adjustments during pregnancy support the body in adapting to physical changes, help reduce back, hip, and pelvic discomfort, and promote optimal nervous system and pelvic function.
Dr. Jessie and Dr. Eric are Webster-certified. They utilize the Webster Technique—a precise chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment aimed at reducing the effects of subluxation and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. This approach improves neurobiomechanical function in the sacral and pelvic region, supporting the health and comfort of both mother throughout pregnancy.
